MIAMI SHORES, Fla.— Coming off an impressive pre-season run, that saw the Buccaneers out-score their opponents 26-1, Barry University kicks off the 2021 season with a pair of home games against NAIA foes in St. Thomas and Florida National. The games will be streamed on the Sunshine State Conference Digital Network with live stats provided by StatBroadcast.

Barry won all three of their pre-season games by a combined 26-1. The Bucs' offense was particularly potent, as they scored practically at will. 

Freshman Juan Valiente leads the Bucs with five goals and an assists for 11 points. Cesare Marconi, Alec Becker and Marlon Buck each have eight points, Marconi with four goals and Buck and Becker with three goals and two assists each. Toby Fura has four assists, to go along with one goal, to lead the team in assists.  Nils Buecheler has 112 minutes in goal with three saves and no goals allowed. Alberto Valsecchi also has 112 minutes with four saves, but has conceded one goal.

Guida Cacciabue leads number-seven ranked St. Thomas with two goals, both of them game-winners. Three different players have one assist each. Franco Acerbi has worked all 180+ minutes in goal, allowing one goal and making six saves. 

For FNU, Blas Barrancos and Bautista Domniguez have the two goals in the win over Florida Memorial. Arthur Barbosa and Constantino Higa each had an assist. Rodrigo Festuccia and Victor Ruiz Lasso split the game in goal, each making one save, while Lasso allowed the goal.
