ORLANDO -- Barry University goal keeper Henry Obi was named Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 25.

Obi led the Bucs to back-to-back wins to close the regular season, including a 4-2 win on the road at Eckerd and a 2-0 shutout of fourth-ranked Florida Southern. He had three saves against the Tritons and four against the Mocs. He finished the week with seven saves and earned his second shutout of the season, with both clean sheets coming against SSC opponents.

It is Obi's first award for the season and the first of his career. It's also the first award for men's soccer this year.

The Bucs clinched an SSC Tournament berth with the win against Eckerd and moved into sole possession of fourth place with the win over the Mocs. They await final seeding for the tournament.
