PENSACOLA, Fla. -- The top-seeded Barry Buccaneers ran rough-shod over the third-seed hosts from West Florida, coming away with a 4-0 win in the championship match of the 2021 NCAA Division II South Region women's tennis tournament at the Skeeter Carson Tennis Center on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Doubles was over, practically before it started, as the Bucs won at number two and three, dropping just one game in the process.
- Farfan and Moosbacher rolled over Recuenco and Saguchi 6-0 at number three
- Engelmann and Razafindranaly made almost equally short work of Silwanowicz and Echevarria, 6-1, at number two.
- Farfan continued her outstanding play with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Saguchi at number six.
- Engelmann and Bosnjak finished within moments of each other at number two and three singles respectively.
- Engelmann took down #29 Recuenco 6-0, 6-1 at number two and Bosnjak was almost as quick with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Silwanowicz at number three.
- The remaining matches went unfinished.
NOTES
- The Bucs won the regional title for the 15th time, advancing to the national finals for the 24th time.
- The national finals are back in Surprise, Ariz., where the Bucs won the the second of their three straight national championships in 2018.
- The Bucs have dropped only three points all season in 12 matches.

The Bucs will travel to the Suprise Tennis & Racquet Club in Surprise, Ariz., May 19-21 for the national finals. Draws will be released next week.
