Baseball Splits Doubleheader With Mocs

Florida Southern won the first game while Barry took the second.

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The seventh-ranked Barry Buccaneers went back-and-forth with the Florida Southern Moccasins, splitting their double-header on Sunday, Mar. 21.

GAME ONE:

  • B2 - Mike Fernandez got the Bucs off to a hot start, homering over the right field fence in the first at-bat of the inning. David Vazquez scored on a wild pitch and later in the inning, Andrew Rapoza brought home Chase Ashby with a double into left field. | Barry 3, FSC 0
  • T3 - Florida Southern struck back quick with a two run homer by Vaun Brown over the left field fence. | Barry 3, FSC 2
  • T4 - Tor Sehnert tied the game with another run for the Mocs with a homer of his own. | Barry 3, FSC 3
  • B5 - JC Garcia added a run for the Buccaneers with a solo homerun. | Barry 4, FSC 3
  • B6 - Vazquez led-off the inning with a single to third base, was put into scoring position by a hit from Omar Baldo and brought home by a sacrifice fly from Andrew Rapoza. | Barry 5, FSC 3
