MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers finished their preseason out on a strong note with a 85-76 victory over the Florida National Conquistadors on Friday, Nov. 5.

SUMMARY:

• 1H - The Conquistadors opened up action with three free throws followed by a bucket from downtown by Stephane Manzi. Barry then stormed back with a 13-2 run capped off by a triple from Nick Anderson setup by a Florida National turnover. Amari Haynes converted on a putback to beat the buzzer and send the Bucs into halftime with a six-point lead. | Barry 39, FNU 33
• 2H - Marcelo Perez kicked off the scoring in the second half with a corner three set up by a drive from Jake Kakar. Perez had seven points in the second frame, Kakar chipped in eight points aswell. The Bucs played fast after the break, scoring 11 fast-break points compared to none for Florida National. | Barry 85, FNU 76

NOTEWORTHY:

• Barry got a good look at their depth with all 16 active players earning time on the court.
• The Bucs held a dominant advantage in bench points, recording 47 compared to 18 for Florida National. 
• Anderson led the Bucs in scoring with 12 including shooting four-from-six from downtown.

Barry will now look forward to opening the regular season when they travel to Georgia to take on Albany State on Friday, Nov. 12.
