MIAMI SHORES,FLA. – The Barry Buccaneers got back in the win column with a 3-0 Sunshine State Conference volleyball win over the Florida Tech Panthers on Tuesday night. Barry won 25-20, 25-14, 25-19. 

INSIDE THE MATCHUPS:

SUMMARY:

• 1^st set | The Bucs combined for 15 kills in the first set. Jennifer Collazo led the way with six kills.  | Barry 25, Florida Tech 20
• 2^nd set | Flordia Tech struck early, scoring two fast points, but the Bucs then turned around and scored six straight. They did not ease up on the Panthers, ulimately winning the set 25-14. | Barry 25, Florida Tech 14
• 3^rd set | The Bucs were up 23-14 at one point, but the Panthers showed some life and closed the gap to 24-19. But a ball handing error by Delaney Lott gave the set and the match to the Bucs.  | Barry 25, Florida Tech 19

NOTEWORTHY:

• Collazo and Djuly Schmorantz had 10 kills each in the match. 
• Bianca Paşca led the Bucs with 31 assists in the match. 
• Yileen Ng He, Countney Zwikker and Anise Lowe combined for 13 blocks.
• The win was the 50th in the series as the Bucs lead 50-8. 

ON THE HORIZON:

The Bucs will now take on the Nova Southeastern Sharks on Friday, Oct. 15 at 7pm in the Health & Sports Center.
