SUMMARY:

  • B4 - The Sailfish led-off the inning with a double to left-center. That was the first time either team had a runner in scoring position. Johnson would retire the next three PBA hitters | Barry 0, PBA 0
  • T7 - Berlin Colvin stayed hot with a single through the right side. Courtney Chisholm pinch-ran for Colvin and stole second base. Payton Germer hit a ground ball back to the PBA pitcher and she threw to third, but Chisholm beat it, giving Barry runners at the corners with one out. Michelle Roldan laid down a suicide squeeze bunt back to the pitcher, she flipped it home and Chisholm slid underneath the throw to give the Bucs the lead | Barry 1, PBA 0
  • B7 - Johnson retired the Sailfish hitters in order, recording two of her three strikeouts in the inning | Barry 1, PBA 0

NOTEWORTHY:
  • Roldan and Colvin have really bolstered the Bucs lineup in the middle of the order. Colvin has a three-game hitting streak and has recorded a hit in six of the last seven games. In those seven games, she is 9-of-19 with a .474 batting average. Despite not recording a hit tonight, Roldan has a base hit in four of the last five and is 6-of-14 in that span with a .429 batting average.
  • Among SSC pitchers, Johnson is tied for second in wins and ranks in the Top-10 in ERA (1.99), complete games (9) and shutouts (3).
