MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The 13th-ranked Barry Buccaneers walked off with a 9-8 win over the Florida Tech Panthers at Feinbloom Field in Sunshine State Conference baseball action on Friday night. Omar Baldo slapped a single through the left side to drive in the game-winner in the bottom of the ninth.

- T9 - Florida Tech came back to tie the game in the ninth off Barry closer Anthony Boix. Newton led off with a homer, his first of the season. A single by Brown and back-to-back walks to Ford and Alec Eldridge chased Boix. Pablo Arevalo (1-0) came in and gave up a two-run single to Quintero, but worked out of the inning without further damage. | Barry 8, FT 8
- B9 - Matos drew a walk off Panther closer Jake Lane (0-4) with one out. Elijah Eusebe came in to run for him. A single by Diaz moved Eusebe to second and Baldo slapped a base hit through the left side, allowing Eusebe to motor around with the winning run. | Barry 9, FT 8
NOTEWORTHY:
- It was the second straight walk-off win for Barry. They defeated Chestnut Hill 5-4 in 14 innings on Tuesday.
- Arevalo allowed a walk and hit in one inning of work, striking out two, to earn the win.
- Lane faced four batters, giving up a walk and two singles, along with the winning run.
- The teams combined for 32 hits, 17 by the Panthers.
- Garcia and Escala led Barry with three hits and three runs each.Â
