Women's Basketball Loses At Embry-Riddle

Bucs fall 68-53 to the Eagles

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Barry women's basketball team lost 68-53 to the Embry-Riddle Eagles in the ICI Center in Sunshine State Conference action on Saturday.

  • 1Q - Tied 3-3 with just over eight minutes to go in the first period, the Eagles out-scored the Bucs 18-7 to take an 11-point lead. | ERAU 21, Barry 10
  • 2Q - The Eagles pushed the lead to as many as 17 points in the second quarter. Barry pulled back to down just eight, 30-22, on a triple by Harriet Swindells, but the Eagles' Rachel Murray hit one of her own with 0:09 seconds left and the margin ended the same as it has started in the period. | ERAU 33, Barry 22

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Swindells had 28 points to lead all players in scoring for Barry.
  • Chiara Fusari added 11 points for the Bucs.
  • Sydney Jones and Nikki Turner each had 15 points to lead the Eagles. Sarah Jones added 14.
  • Barry only got two points, from Carly Sanders, off the bench, while the Eagles had 14.
