MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers pulled off a comeback for the ages, with a 9-0 run in the last 1:05, to beat the Rollins Tars 69-68 in Sunshine State Conference men's basketball action at Cesar Odio Court on Saturday.

SUMMARY:
- With the Bucs up just two, 14-12, Evan Walshe and Toru Dean hit back-to-back three-pointers to give Barry an eight-point advantage with 12:07 in the period.
- Barry pushed the lead to nine on a 6-0 run capped by a layup by Tylan Birts with 3:16 left.
- But the Tars closed the half on a 10-2 run to go into the break down just 36-34.
- Barry maintained the lead until the 9:00 minute mark when a Hutton Yenor triple gave the Tars their first lead since 17:01 of the first half.
- The Tars led the rest of the half, pushing the lead to eight 68-60 on a free throw by Jakobi Bonner with 1:28 to play.
- The Bucs then closed the game on a 9-0 run, fueled by four Rollins turnovers, to take a 69-68 lead. After a steal by Birts, Jake Kakar missed a three-pointer, but Birts got the rebound. Birts missed the putback, but Kakar got the rebound and hit the bucket for the Barry lead.
- After taking a 68-60 lead, the Tars did not get a shot from the floor off until after the Bucs took the lead, failing to get the ball inbounded on three straight possessions.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Kakar led the Bucs with 20 points, including the game-winner in the final minute.
- Birts added 18 points and Johannes Dolven added 11. Birts and Dolven both had seven rebounds.
- Bonner led the Tars with 16 points, while Connor McKim and Yenor each added 14.
- The Bucs forced 17 turnovers, including the four in the final minute and three shot clock violations.
- Birts had four steals and David Moya added three.
- The win extended the Bucs' win streak to eight games.
