MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers clobbered the Montevallo Falcons in a non-conference twin bill on Saturday at Feinbloom Field, winning 8-1 and 13-6.

GAME ONE:

The Bucs scored in five of their eight frames, pounding out 18 hits and drawing three walks.

• B2 - Chris Cabrera drew a lead off walk off Montevallo starter Chrit Rudkin. After a ground out, Andrew Rapoza beat out a bunt single to put runners at the corners. Richie Sobalvarro singled in Cabrera and Rapoza scored on a sacrifice fly by Derek Smolenski. | Barry 2, Montevallo 0
• B4 - Smolenski led off with a double and moved to third on a bunt single by Arrison Perez. Smolenski scored on a ground out by JC Garcia. Garcia went to third on a failed pick off attempt by Rudkin and scored on a fly out by Freddie Matos. | Barry 4, Montevallo 0
• B5 - Rapoza singled through the left side and moved to third on a base hit by Sobalvarro. Smolenski beat out a bunt single to drive in the run. | Barry 5, Montevallo 0
• B7 - Cabrera singled to lead off the inning and scored on a double by Deyvid Silva. After Rapoza made it to second on a fly ball that Silva had to hold on, the Bucs loaded the bases on an intentional walk to Paul Salata. Barry continued to pound the Falcon pitching staff in game two, rapping out 18 more hits and drawing three more walks.

• B3 - The Bucs sent eight men to the plate and scored four runs. Perez led off with a single and Garcia and Matos both beat out bunts for base hits to lead the bases. Perez scored on a fly ball by Justin Lamazares. Silva had an RBI single to score Garcia. Silva and Matos came home on a two-out, two-run single by Sobalvarro.  | Barry 4, Montevallo 1
• B4 - The Bucs put up four more runs in the fourth, sending 10 men to the plate. Smolenski led off with a double over the head of Jake Morris in left, and moved to third on a ground out. Garcia drove in the run with a single to left. Matos singled through the left side and both runners moved up on a wild pitch by Falcon starter Justin Whitley. Lamazares dropped a single into left center to score Garcia. Silva knocked in Matos with a single to left and Lamzares scored on another base hit by Sobalvarro.  | Barry 8, Montevallo 1
• T5 - The Falcons got their offense going in the fifth, sending eight men to the plate and scoring three times. Morris singled up the middle off Barry starter Pablo Arevalo. Anderson singled to third base and Tyler Krabbe singled to right to load the bases. Sebastian Samuels doubled into left center to score two runs and Krabbe came in on a grouond out.  | Barry 8, Montevallo 4
• T6 - Morris beat out an infield single and stole second. Anderson came through with a base hit to drive him in.  | Barry 8, Montevallo 5
• B6 - Barry batted around again in the sixth. Silva singled with one out and scored on a double by Rapoza. Sobalvarro singled through the left side to put runners at the corners. Ariel Diaz singled up the middle to drive in Rapoza. Garcia tripled to right center, driving in Sobalvarro and Diaz. Garcia scored on a base hit by Matos.  | Barry 13, Montevallo 5
• T7 - Jason Cryar singled to right and moved to third on a double by Ryan Brooks. Ty Wooten lifted a fly ball to center to score the run.  | Barry 13, Montevallo 6

NOTEWORTHY:

• Frank II Gonzalez (5-1) carried a no-hitter into the seventh of game one and left after throwing seven shutout innings. He allow just one bunt single and struck out six. He threw ust 78 pitches, 53 for strikes.
• Rudkin (3-5) was hung with thefirst game loss. In 4.1 innings, he allowed five runs (four earned) on 10 hits and two walks, while striking out five.
• Arevalo (5-4) worked 4.2 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk to earn the win. He struck out seven.
• Whitley (3-3) took the loss for the Falcons. In 3.1 innings, he allowed eight runs on 11 hits and a walk.
• Sobalvarro went 5-for-7 in the doubleheader, including 3-for-3 in game two, to lead the Bucs at the plate. He drove in four runs. Silva also had five hits and drove in three runs. Silva and Rapoza both scored three runs. Garcia scored four and drove in four.
• Morris and Anderson both had three hits for the Falcons.
