MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The 20th-ranked Barry Buccaneers fell 8-2 to the top-ranked Tampa Spartans on Friday night in Sunshine State Conference baseball action at Feinbloom Field.

Yorvis Torrealba lifted a fly ball down the right field line, which rightfielder Ariel Diaz sprinted over to catch in foul ground. NOTEWORTHY:
- Keven Pimental (6-1) worked seven innings, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks. He struck out five to pick up the win.
- Frank II Gonzalez (4-1) took the loss. In four innings, he allowed five runs on nine hits. He walked two, hit three and struck out three.
