MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Buccaneer baseball team split a double header with the Saint Leo Lions, winning 4-3 to take the series, but dropping the finale 10-5, in Sunshine State Conference baseball action at Feinbloom Field on Saturday.

GAME ONE:
- B1 - Barry jumped out to an early lead. JC Garcia led off with an infield single and Freddie Matos shot one through the left side on a hit-and-run. After a double steal, Chris Cabrera brought in Garcia with a ground out and Paul Salata bounced a single up the middle to score Matos. | Barry 2, Saint Leo 0
- T2 - The Lions knotted the game at 2-2 in the second. Logan Flood singled to left and Danny Torres pulled a double down the left field line to knock him in. After an error, Torres scored on a double play. | Barry 2, Saint Leo 2

- T4 - The Lions broke up the no-hitter that Barry starter Alejandro Cabrera had through 3.1 innings when Morello singled to right. Peyton Isaacson followed with the single and Coffel drove in the run with an third straight safety. After the bases were loaded on a hit batsman and an infield fly, Matt Morgan launched a grand slam that put the Lions on top 4-2 and chased Cabrera. NOTEWORTHY:
- Angel Almonte (1-0) worked 2.1 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win in game one. He allowed a hit and a walk and struck out four. Hugo Casilla threw a scoreless ninth win one strikeout for his fourth save.
- Shane Haight (1-2) took the loss for the Lions. In six innings, he allowed four runs on 10 hits and a walk and struck out seven.
- Alejandro Cabrera (1-2) was tagged for the loss after allowing five runs on four hits in 3.2 innings.
- Ryan Nolan (3-0) improved to 3-0 with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed four runs on nine hits and walked one, while striking out seven.
- Matos, Rapoza and Chris Cabrera each had four hits to lead the Bucs. Matos scored three times and Cabrera drove in five in the twin bill.
- Morello led the Lions with four hits and scored three runs. Morgan, with the grand slam, drove in four.
