MIAMI SHORES, Fla.— Barry University director of athletics Michael L. Covone announced today that assistant women's soccer coach Nick Jaramillo has resigned his position.
Jaramillo, in his only season with the Bucs, helped guide the team to a 16-1-1 record, the regular season and tournament championships for the Sunshine State Conference and the number two seed in the NCAA Division II South Region Tournament. It was the Bucs' 24th bid to the NCAA postseason, most among D-II programs.
The Bucs swept the SSC Player of the Year (Christy Grimshaw), Offensive Player of the Year (Molly Sharpe) and Defensive Player of the Year (Jade Adams). It was the first time a conference school claimed all three awards in the same year with three different players.
The Bucs will begin an immediate search for his replacement.
