LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers posted their first-ever sweep of the Florida Southern Moccasins with 8-0, 11-2 wins in a doubleheader at Henley Field in Sunshine State Conference baseball action on Saturday.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Myles Gayman (1-1) worked seven shutout innings for the win in game one. He scattered three hits and three walks and struck out five.
- Alejandro Cabrera (2-1) went eight innings in the nightcap for the win. He allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits and struck out eight.
- Martin (0-1) took the loss in game one for the Mocs. He allowed seven runs (six earned) on five hits and two walks and struck out three.
- Carson King (2-1) took the loss in game two. In six innings, she surrendered seven runs (six earned) on eight hits and four walks. He managed three strikeouts.
- The Bucs had played 94 previous games against the Mocs, dating back to 1985 and never posted a sweep. Barry did win four straight in the series in 2011 and 2012, taking the last two in 2011 and the first two in 2012.
