MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Bucs led by as many as 27 over the University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon on Tuesday afternoon inside the Health & Sports Center before capturing a 88-73 victory against the Vaqueros.

SUMMARY:
- Jake Kakar led the Buccaneer offense with 11 points and four rebounds, while the Bucs' own Puerto Rican native Leandro Allende tacked on 10 points on 5-for-7 shooting. Barry out-rebounded the Vaqueros 19-9 in the first half and the Buccaneer bench out-scored UPR's bench 23-7.
- Justinas Marcinkevicius' layup with 5:28 to go in the game gave Barry a 27-point lead, when Bucs coach Butch Estes made mass substitutions. Freshman point guard Toru Dean gave the Bucs very good minutes in the second half and finished with five points, four assists and two steals.
NOTEWORTHY:.
- Tylan Birts has been impressive through the first four games for the Bucs averaging 15 points and nine rebounds while shooting 58 percent from the field.
- Also impressive for Barry is the ball-sharing. Barry is averaging 22.5 assists-per-game.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs will kick-off their Sunshine State Conference schedule on Saturday, November 23 against Florida Southern at home. Tip-off is set for 2:00pm.
