Women's Soccer Loses On the Road At Embry-Riddle

Bucs fall 3-1 to Eagles

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers fell 3-1 to the Embry-Riddle Eagles on Saturday at ERAU Soccer Field in Sunshine State Conference women's soccer action.

SUMMARY:

  • 31:03 - Sophie Brundin scored on a header from a free kick by Anita Agustsdottir for the Eagles' first goal.
  • 32:24 - Rita Okoro scored what proved to be the game-winner on a corner by Isabelle Navren.
  • 62:51 - Navren scored a goal of her own with an assist from Julia Olsson for the Eagles' final goal.
  • 86:01 - Tash Hudson got the Bucs on the board with her second goal of the season. Sarah Wignall lifted a free kick into the box and Hudson got a head on it to knock it past keeper Dana Ruchti.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Ruchti made 10 saves for the Eagles in picking up the win.
  • Maddie Hart-Pomerantz hd two saves and allowed three goals for the Bucs.
  • Barry out-shot the Eagles 16-14, including 11-5 on goal.
  • Barry also led 6-2 in corners.
