St. Petersburg, Fla. – The Buccaneers fell to the Eckerd Tritons on the road in five sets on the second night of a back-to-back. Barry lost 29-27, 16-25, 20-25, 25-22, 13-15.
INSIDE THE MATCHUPS:

SUMMARY:
- 1st set | Megi Buvinic recorded seven of her 25 kills in the initial set as both teams went toe-to-toe. The Bucs had multiple set points and were able to go ahead after taking the set 29-27.
- 2nd set | Barry could not stop the Tritons offense with Eckerd hitting over .400 and leading from start to finish in the set.
- 3rd set | Eckerd was up comfortbaly 21-11 until the Buccaneers mounted a 7-1 run and forced the Tritons to call timeout only up four. Eckerd would manage to take the set and go up 2-1.
- 4th set | The Bucs were able to continue playing well from the end of the previous set hitting a match-high .333 and evened things up by winning this set 25-22.
- 5th set | A clutch service ace by Buvinic gave Barry a 13-11 lead leading to an Eckerd timeout. The Tritons would come out of the timeout scoring four-straight points and take the match 3-2.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Barry had five players reach double-figure digs for the first time this season.
- The 25 kills by Buvinic are a season-high
- The 50 assists by Bianca Paşca tie a season-high.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs return to the court on Tuesday, October 29th when they return home to the Health & Sports Center for the first time since October 12th when they take on the Lynn Fighting Knights. First serve is at 7:00 PM.
