HOOVER, Ala. – Behind a well-rounded team effort, the Barry Buccaneers kicked off the SSC/GSC Crossover with a poignant win over Mississippi College inside the Finley Center, sweeping the Choctaws in straight sets 25-17, 25-18, 25-20.

- 1st set | The Buccaneers came out swinging, boasting a .333 attack percentage while holding the Choctaws to a lowly .107.
- 2nd set | Kristina Filimonova, who is usually leading the way offensive for the Bucs, played a different role tonight, showing her versatility with seven of her 15 digs in the second set.
- 3rd set | Megi Buvinic closed things out for Barry in the most competitive of the three sets with seven kills and five digs.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Bianca Pasca had another spectacular outing in her second game back from injury, tallying 27 assist on the day.
- Kristina Filiminova nearly recorded a double-double, recording 8 kills to go along with a season-high 15 digs.
- With junior middle blocker Anastasiia Samokhvalova out due to injury, freshman Nailah Landon stepped in and pounded out a career-high eight total blocks.
