Women's Soccer Shoots Down #19 Skyhawks In Overtime

Bucs win third straight

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers won their third straight game with a 1-0 overtime victory over the 19th-ranked Stonehill Skyhawks on Monday night at Buccaneer Field in women's soccer action.

SUMMARY:

  • 93:17 - Minda Forsbloom pushed the ball out to the right wing and Tash Hudson, who dominated that side of the field all night, ripped a shot to the far post for the game-winner.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • The Buccaneers dominated on the field, but were stymied time and time again by Stonehill keeper Kaitlyn Brown who had 10 saves. Defender Peyron Nickerson also swept a ball off the line in the 52nd minute.
  • Barry out-shot Stonehill 29-12, including 12-5 on goal.
  • Maddie Hart-Pomerantz posted her second straight clean sheet, making five saves.

ON THE HORIZON:

The Bucs travel to Lakeland, Fla., on Saturday to take on the Florida Southern Moccasins.
