MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers used two quick first half goals and a solid defensive effort to shut out the Saint Leo Lions 2-0 at Buccaneer Field on Saturday night in Sunshine State Conference women's soccer action.

SUMMARY:
- 5:04 - Tash Hudson pushed the ball up the right side and crossed it into the box for Lauren Hall, who settled it and fired a shot over the head of Lion keeper Julia Ortiz.
- 17:21 - Sofia de la Puente got a takeaway in the midfield and passed to Minda Fosblom. Forsblom slide the ball over to Ari Cerezuela whose 32-yard blast caught Ortiz flatfooted for the second goal.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Barry out-shot Saint Leo 16-8, but both teams managed six on goal.
- Maddie Hart-Pomerantz had six saves, two in the final minute, to post her second shutout of the season.
- Ortiz made four saves, but conceded two goals on six shots on goal.
- Barry led 6-1 on corners.
