MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers bounced back with a 5-0 shutout of the Palm Beach State Panthers at Feinbloom Field on Tuesday afternoon.

- B5 - The Bucs hung three runs on the Panthers in the fifth. Richie Sobalvarro laced a double down the left field line and Deyvid Silva was hit by a pitch. Ariel Diaz dropped down a bunt and beat it out, but Panther pitcher Roger Caballos threw the ball away at first, allowing Sobalvarro to score. NOTEWORTHY:
- Starter Angel Almonte picked up the win in the split game. He worked 1.2 innings, allowing two hits and a walk and striking out three.
- Cade Middleton set down all three batters he faced in the seventh inning, striking each out looking.
- Hugo Casilla struck out two in the ninth to close the game out.
- Garcia was 1-for-3 with a homer and scored twice. Matos was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
- Twelve of the last 14 Panther batters failed to put the ball in play (9 strikeouts, three walks. After the fifth inning, the Panthers only got one ball out of the infield, a fly out to center by David Munoz in the sixth.
- The Bucs pitching staff struck out 16 Panthers against just five walks.
