MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Buccaneers came up short against Saint Leo on Saturday night at the Bowman Center despite a second half surge to cut a 21-point Saint Leo lead to three with 30 seconds left in the game.
Daniel Mortensen was fouled shooting a three pointer and converted on all three free throw attempts. Barry gave up a layup on the subsequent possesion and wasn't able to get it closer than three.
Isaiah Hobbs led the Bucs with 21 points, nine rebounds and three assists. The 21 points are a season-high for Hobbs who finished shooting 7-for-10 from the field.

SUMMARY:
- David Moya came out of the gates playing well for the Bucs with 10 points on a perfect 3-for-3 shooting performance in the first half. The Bucs shot 53 percent as a team, but were out-rebounded 15-7.
- Marko Tomic came off the bench for the first time this season and was perfect from the field as well, going 3-for-3 with eight points.
- With 4:29 left in the game, Saint Leo's lead was 17. Barry would convert on back-to-back and one's along with a Tylan Birts' jumper to go on an 8-0 run. The Lions would stop the bleeding with a pair of three throws and keep the Bucs at an arms distance until the 30 second mark.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Hobbs did the majority of his damage in the second with 17-of-his 21 points and eight-of-nine rebounds coming in the second half.
- Birts also had a strong second half with 11-of-his-15 points coming after the half.
- Barry outscored Saint Leo in a few categories; points in the paint 46-24; fast break points 18-7 and bench points 50-43.
