MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Barry Buccaneers slipped past the Auburn-Montgomery Warhawks 1-0 on Thursday night at the AUM Soccer Complex in men's action.

SUMMARY:

• 80:41 - AUM sophomore defender Alexander Wagner was sent off for a foul in the box on Barry's Lucas Russo in the 81st minute. Alexander Kraus stopped the ensuing penalty kick from Aday Gonzalez, but the rebound came right back to the Barry winger and he buried the rebound for the winning goal. 

NOTEWORTHY:

• Marco Sordi and the Buccaneer defense posted their second shutout in three games. Sordi was only forced into one save as the Warhawks put only one on frame.
• Kraus made six saves and was helped out when his defense swept on off the line, but took the loss on the goal by Gonzalez.
• Barry out-shot AUM 15-5, including 8-1 on goal.

Barry travels to Chattanooga, Tenn., on Saturday, Sept. 8, to face Carson-Newman at Baylor High School.
