WINTER PARK, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers sunk the 14th-ranked Rollins Tars 1-0 in Sunshine State Conference men's soccer action from Barker Family Stadium on Saturday night.

SUMMARY:

  • 45:53 - Marco Sordi stopped a penalty kick by Cyrus Siminou by diving to his right.
  • 53:34 - Flavio Colasanti connected for the only goal of the game in the 54th minute.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Marco Sordi produced his fourth clean sheet on the season with a season-high eight saves, including the two penalties, as the Bucs stymied the Tars who came in averaging nearly three goals per game. 
  • Abdiel Martinez had three saves for the Tars, but conceded the goal to take the loss.
  • The Tars, who entered the week undefeated and ranked 14th, have dropped their last two games now.

The Bucs, who sit in a four-way tie for first place in the SSC, take on fellow leader Palm Beach Atlantic on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at home. Kick off is set for 6:00 pm.
