MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The 10th-ranked Barry Buccaneers used a dominant first half to knock off the Nova Southeastern Sharks 2-1 in a non-conference women's soccer match up at Buccaneer Field on Wednesday night.

SUMMARY:
- 18:47 - Sarah Wignall got the Bucs on the board in the 19th minute. Molly Sharpe crossed the ball in from the right wing and Christy Grimshaw touched it back to Wignall for the shot from 15 yards.
- 21:57 - Sharpe tacked on another first-half goal in the 22nd minute. Grimshaw pushed the ball up the right side to Gabby Sanon who crossed the ball to the far post to Wignall. She passed the ball back into the middle where Sharpe got a head on it to poke it past keeper Shannon Hearty.
- 71:42 - Adanna Edwards took advantage of a missed clearance by the Buccaneer defense to get the Sharks on the board in the 72nd minute.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Melanie Zeigner conceded a goal, the first allowed by the Bucs this season, but made three saves and got a helping head from Alyssa Lugo who headed a ball off the line in the 36th minute. It was her
- Hearty had seven saves for the Sharks, but gave up the brace to take the loss.
- Emma Heikkila also knocked a ball off the line in the first half off a header by Sharpe on a corner.
