ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The 10th-ranked Barry Buccaneers kept their early season success rolling with a 3-0 win over the Eckerd Tritons at the Turley Athletic Complex on Saturday night, the Sunshine State Conference women's soccer opener for both teams.

SUMMARY:
- 22:05 - Gabby Sanon scored her first goal of the season with an assist from Molly Sharpe. Sharpe sent the ball toward the top of the six-yard box from the left side and Sanon finished past Eckerd keeper Casey Winn.
- 38:12 - Sharpe got on the baord herself in the 39th minute with an assist from Christy Grimshaw. Grimshaw sent the ball in and Sharpe finished from point-blank range.
- 55:47 - Grimshaw got in on the action in the 56th minute. Sarah Wignall delivered a corner kick to the far post and Grimsahw finished with a low shot that evaded Winn.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Melanie Ziegner got the win and the shutout, despite not facing a shot on goal.
- Winn took the loss, saving four of the Bucs seven shots on goal.
- The Bucs dominated the Tritons, out-shooting them 16-4, including 7-0 on goal, and had seven corners to the Tritons' two.
- The six straight wins to start the season are the most for the Bucs since 2002, when they won their first 18 straight.
