CLERMONT, Fla. -- Buccaneer softball continues to win at The Spring Games, increasing their tournament record to 5-1. Barry beat the Hillsdale Chargers 5-2 to start the day, and came back hours later to take down the Falcons of Notre Dame 3-1.

SUMMARY:
Game 1
- T2: Sam Busekrus batted in Geneva Santos with a single that snuck through the right side of the infield, giving the Bucs the one-run lead. Barry 1 | Hillsdale 0
- B2: The Chargers notched the game at one after a ground out to the shortstop, scoring Victoria Addis from third. Barry 1 | Hillsdale 1
- T5: The Bucs took back the lead with another three runs in the fifth. Two of the runs came as a result of poor defensive errors on behalf of the Chargers. Peyton Rawls brought in the third run with a sacrifice popped fly to the second baseman. Barry 4 | Hillsdale 1
- T6: Lynsey Duncan had an RBI-double in the sixth to increase Barry's lead to four runs. Barry 5 | Hillsdale 1
- B7: Hillsdale's last chance of a comeback came in the bottom of the seventh with a sacrifice fly from Amanda Marra to score Jessica Taylor. Barry 5 | Hillsdale 2
Game 2
- B3: Barry put three runs on the board in the third to stun the Falcons. A double steal from Peyton Rawls and Taylor Checkley allowed Checkley to score from third. Anieliese Palmeiro tripled later in the inning, scoring Rawls and Alayna Gallagher to take the three run lead. Barry 3 | Notre Dame 0
- T6: A homer from Shelby Stephens in the sixth wasn't enough for the Falcons, as the Bucs held on to win their second game of the day, fifth of the tournament.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Geneva Santos (5-7) won game one of the day for the Bucs, giving up just seven hits and two runs through seven innings.
- Dana Weidinger (1-2) lost the first game for the Chargers, conceding five runs off of six hits to the Buccaneers.
- Christie Falcon (6-5) allowed just four hits and one run to the Falcons in game two to pick up Barry's second win of the day.
- Santos (1) came back in game two grab her first save of the season for the Bucs.
- Taylor Olson (2-3) was dealt the loss after giving up four hits and three runs to the Buccaneers in game two.
