CLERMONT, Fla. -- Barry University's softball team beat the Knights of Queens College on Sunday to end their Spring Games road trip on a high note. The Buccaneers won 5-4, increasing their winning streak to seven games.

Game 1

  • T2: Sam Busekrus got the Bucs rolling with an RBI-double to center field, scoring Geneva Santos. Busekrus was then batted in with a single up the middle by Taylor Checkley. Barry 2 | Queens 0
  • B4: A costly error by the Bucs' defense allowed the Knights to cut the Barry's lead to just one run in the fourth. Barry 2 | Queens 1
  • T5: Madison VonHagel got one run back for the Bucs in the fifth, as she hit a sacrifice fly to left field, scoring Taylor Randazzo from third. Barry 3 | Queens 1
  • B5: The Knights tied the game up at three with two more runs scored in the fifth. Barry 3 | Queens 3

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Geneva Santos (6-7) pitched the win for the Bucs today, after giving up four hits and four runs.
  • Christie Falcon (2) tabbed her second save of the season, allowing just one hit to hold off the Knights.
  • ToniMarie Valeriano (1-2) was dealt the loss for Queens after giving up seven hits and five runs.

Barry jump right back into conference play next weekend as they host Florida Tech on Buccaneer Field.
