GULF SHORES, Ala. -- Barry University softball dropped a pair of games on Saturday at the Gulf Coast Invitational at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex. The Bucs lost to a pair of sattelite campuses, to Auburn-Montgomery 10-8 and to Alabama-Huntsville 9-1 in five innings.

Game 1

• T2: The Warhawks scored three unearned runs in the second inning on just one hit. Jaycie Walker had a lead off double. | AUM 3, Barry 0
• T3: AUM tacked on five runs in the third. They loaded the bases and scored one run on four walks and single by Hannah Dailey. Abby Kruger delivered the big blow when she pushed a bunt past Anieliese Palmeiro at first and all three runners scored. | AUM 8, Barry 0 
• B3: Alayna Gallagher got the Bucs on the board in the third. She advanced from second to third on a fly ball by Madison VonHagel and scored when centerfielder Parker Pinholster's throw got away at third. | AUM 8, Barry 1
• B4: Peyton Rawls drilled a lead off homer, her first of the year, and Barry scored two more on an error and a sacrifice fly. | AUM 8, Barry 4
• T5: Dailey was hit by a pitch and promptly stole second and third. She scored on a squeeze bunt by Kendall Tucker. | AUM 9, Barry 4
• T6: Gracie Harris was hit by a pitch leading off the inning and scored on an error. | AUM 10, Barry 4
• B7: Kristina Osorio keyed a four-run seventh for the Bucs with a three-run homer, her first of the season. | AUM 10, Barry 8

• T1: Geneva Santos singled and scored on a double by VonHagel to give Barry the early lead. | Barry 1, UAH 0
• B1: The Chargers gained control in the bottom of the inning. Amber Hammonds, Taylor Wascavage and Brooke Miller had RBI as UAH built a 4-1 lead | UAH 4, Barry 1.
• B3: Ashley Cornell and Reagan Malone had RBI singles. | UAH 6, Barry 1
• B4: Kiara Akles drove in Hammond with a single to right. UAH 7, Barry 1
• B5: Hammonds had a sacrifce fly and pinch hitter Alaina Hampton laced a douoble down the left field line to end the game on the run rule. | UAH 9, Barry 1 

NOTEWORTHY:

• Lynsey Duncan (1-1) took the loss against the Warhawks. She allowed eight runs (five earned) on four hits and four walks in three innings.
• Santos (0-2) took the loss against UAH. She allowed six runs (four earned) on four hits and four walks in 2.2 innings.
• Sam Busekrus went 3-for-6 with a run and a stolen base in the twinbill. 

ON THE HORIZON:

The Bucs are scheduled to finish the final day of the Gulf Coast Invitational tomorrow, as they take on Lee University at 10 a.m. and West Georgia at 12:15 p.m. Those times and matchups may be adjusted due to inclement weather.
