TAMPA, Fla. – October 31, 2008.
That is the last time that Barry University's volleyball team came away victorious against the Tampa Spartans. It was also the first win in Tampa's gym for the Buccaneers since October 2nd, 2004.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
"This is a huge win for this program," Bucs head coach Steve Hendricks said. "This team has always had a strong belief that we are elite, but we haven't been able to win a 'big one'. We did that tonight in four sets against a great Tampa team." Hendricks and his staff knew the significance of going up 2-1 and shifting the pressure over to the number seven ranked team in the country. "My assistant coach Cinthia Angus said before the match, 'if we go up 2-1, we're going to win it in four'," Hendricks said. "A win like this gives the team so much confidence with three games left in the regular season. Now we know we can knock-off one of the top [teams]."
