INSIDE THE MATCHUP
Records: #20 Barry (14-4-1); #24 Lynn (11-4-2)
All-Time Series: Lynn leads 10-26-5
Barry enters the showdown following a dominant 4-1 victory over Spring Hill. The Bucs came out of halftime knotted up at 0-0 before trading goals with the Badgers. Barry went on to blow the game open with three straight goals in a three-minute span, a record-breaking flurry for the Buccaneers. Lorenzo Cerrai stepped up big in scoring the first goal for the Bucs before later on placing an excellent cross right on the money to Flavio Colasanti who scored the Bucs' third goal of the night.
Lynn scored a major upset in the last round of the tournament when they were able to upset first-seeded and second-ranked Palm Beach Atlantic. The Knights and Sailfish traded goals in regulation before Lynn was able to advance in sudden-death penalty kicks after two scoreless overtime periods. Lynn has had a solid defense all season long but has struggled to get the ball in the net vs stronger opponents. Lynn failed to convert a goal vs. Barry in either of the rivals' two matchups this season despite taking 19 shots in those contests.
