SUMMARY:

  • 4:19 - Sarah Wignall got the Bucs on the board in the fifth minute. Molly Sharpe served a free kick from the right wing to Gabby Sanon in the box. Sanon flicked the ball over to Wignall who finished past Dana Ruchti in goal
  • 27:02 - Christy Grimshaw added to her league-leading total with a goal in the 28th minute. She worked a perfect give-and-go with Ari Cerezuela at the top of the box and buried the shot low and to the right.
  • 37:56 - Ellen Cederin blasted a lovely shot from 21 yards out in the 38th minute. Grimshaw lofted a long cross from the right side that deflected off a defender right to Cederin for the shot.
  • 47:19 - Grimshaw got another assist in the 48th minute when her shot clanged off the post but fell right to the foot of Gabby Sanon who quickly knocked in the rebound.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Melanie Ziegner posted her seventh shutout, the 11th overall for the Bucs, by making one save on the Eagles' two shots.
  • Ruchti made five saves, but allowed four goals to take the loss.
  • Grimshaw, with two assists on the night, now has 11 assists for the season, to go along with her 14 goals. Teammate Sharpe has 12 goals and 12 assists. The duo is the first to have double-figure goals and assists in the same season since Emelie Karlsson (21 goals, 14 assists) and Pam McDonald (11 goals, 11 assists) in 2002.
  • Barry out-shot the Eagles 18-2, including 9-1 on goal. They also had nine corners to two for ERAU.
