MIAMI SHORES, FL. – The Barry Buccaneers have not dropped a set through the first four matches in the month of October.
Barry (18-2, 10-2 SSC) took down Nova Southeastern (5-14, 3-9 SSC) in straight sets inside the Health & Sports Center on Tuesday night. The win gave Barry the series sweep this season after the Bucs beat the Sharks in three sets on the road back in September. Barry took the sets, 25-13, 25-20 and 25-12.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
"We are playing well and it's good to get wins [in three sets] in mid-October because the season is starting to get long," Bucs head coach Steve Hendricks said. Nova struggled offensively hitting .075 for the match. Recently Barry has dominated the net defensively with back-to-back SSC Defensive Player of The Week Anastasiia Samokhvalova leading the way. However, today they were limited to just three team blocks. "I think they struggled a little passing the ball which didn't give them three options at the net," Hendricks added. One facet of the game the Buccaneers did dominate tonight was their service game. Barry totaled eight service aces and Hendricks credited that to the work in practice by his assistants. "I really have to give credit to Cinthia [Angus] and April [Sicam]. They work a lot on our serving zones and serving MPH."
