MIAMI SHORES, FL. – A two-headed setting attack of Barry juniors Maegan Cuesta and Juliana Tirabassi powered the Barry Buccaneers (17-2, 9-2 SSC) to a 3-0 victory over the Florida Tech Panthers (5-15, 2-10 SSC) on Saturday afternoon inside the Health & Sports Center. Barry took the sets, 25-23, 25-23 and 25-23.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
"Bianca [Pasca] has a small injury," Bucs head coach Steve Hendricks said. "We are trying to get her some rest." Pasca has been the teams starting setter through the first 18 games and leads the team in assists with 632. "Both Julianna and Maegan set for us last year and are more than capable of running the offense." Florida Tech battled the entire match dropping all three sets by the identical score of 25-23. "Everyone in this conference has athletes that can play," Hendricks added. "Florida Tech didn't go away, they just kept swinging and fighting." Two other juniors that Hendricks noted were Audren Rose and Kishara Gordon. Rose tallied 20 digs and Gordon led the team with 15 kills and a .480 hitting percentage.
SUMMARY:
- 1st set | W 25-23 | Gordon dominated the first set for Barry. The junior from Canada pounded out 10 kills-13-attempts.
- 2nd set | W 25-23 | Rose really made her presence felt in this set posting 10-of-her-20 digs.
- 3rd set | W 25-23 | The Buccaneers held the Panthers to 12 kills on 17 attempts and a .189 hitting percentage in the third set.
