MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The No. 24-ranked Barry Buccaneers (24-3, 13-3 SSC) put a bow on the 2018 home regular season schedule with a 3-0 victory over the Eckerd Tritons (12-13, 4-11 SSC) on senior night. 

Johanna Voss was recognized for her contributions as the lone senior for the Buccaneers on Friday night inside the Health & Sports Center. She finished with five kills, two blocks and a dig. Barry took the match 25-13, 25-12, 25-22.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:

"Johanna [Voss] has had a great senior season," Bucs head coach Steve Hendricks said. "She has been hitting well and blocking a ton of balls. She is a great teammate. She organizes stuff on and off the court - with this group. Our team chemistry [this year] has been fantastic. We're going to miss her. She's done a great job this fall."

The Buccaneers have had great fan-support throughout the year and tonight was no different. "Tonight we had another full house," Hendricks said. "I want to thank the fans and the student body for coming out and supporting our team at home this year."

SUMMARY:

• 1st set | W 25-13 | The Bucs set the tone early on offense with a highly-efficient attack. Barry out-hit the Tritons .387 to .138. Kristina Filimonova lead the Bucs with four kills. 
• 2nd set | W 25-12 | Barry continued their excellent play on offense with an attack percentage of .636, Brittany Reynolds and Tierney Ward tallied three kills a-piece
• 3rd set | W 25-22 | The Tritons battled it out with Barry in the final set, going on a 7-2 run before the Bucs earned match point. 

NOTEWORTHY:.

• Reynolds recorded a season-high 15 total attempts. 
• With 15 digs against Eckerd, Audren Rose has 559 on the season. She is 40 digs away from tying the single-season record of 599 held by Brittany Jaco (2015).
• After struggling to receive serves in their previous match against Palm Beach Atlantic, Barry was much better against Eckerd with just two receive errors. 

ON THE HORIZON:

The Buccaneers are off till next Friday, November 2nd. Barry will travel to Tampa, FL and take on the No. 4-ranked Spartans. In the first match against UT, both teams went the distance with Tampa getting the best of Barry in Miami Shores. First serve is set for 7:00 pm.
