MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The ninth-ranked Barry Buccaneers visit the Saint Leo Lions on Saturday, Oct. 20 at University Field in Sunshine State Conference women's soccer play. The Bucs can clinch a bye in the conference tournament quarterfinals with a win or tie versus the Lions.
The Bucs enter the contest with 22 points in conference play. With at least a tie, which would give them 23 points, they clinch the number one seed and a first-round bye in the SSC Tournament.

The Bucs were off this week after taking a 2-1 comeback win over the Florida Tech Panthers on Saturday. The Panthers took an early 1-0 lead but goals by Christy Grimshaw and Molly Sharpe in the second half led the Bucs to the win. Saint Leo battled Rollins for 110 minutes on Wednesday, leaving the game at a 1-1 draw, when the Tars scored a late penalty kick to not the game.
The Bucs still remain the only unbeaten team in the SSC and lead the league in goals per game, goals allowed and goal differential. Grimshaw (10 goals/8 assists) and Sharpe (10 goals/8 assists) are tied atop the league standings for goals, assists, and points. Sharpe has made the most of her goals with a league-best six game-winners, double the number of second place. Melanie Ziegner leads the league with five solo shutouts, a 0.37 goals against average and is second with an 84.6 save percentage.
Carolina Solis-DeLeon leads the Lions' attack with five goals. She is supported by Laura Hallissey with a pair of goals and assists. Julia Ortiz has started all 13 games, seeing 1191 minutes of action. The junior goalkeeper has earned 49 saves, compiling a .681 save percentage.
