MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University's women's basketball team held on to beat a comeback-charged Florida Tech team, 72-70, Saturday.
Stephane Granada hit a layup with 1.5 seconds left, and Juhnae Richardson blocked a shot at the other end to help the Buccaneers prevail.

- 4Q - The Panthers cut it to four less than three minutes into the quarter on a basket by Markeema Crawford. FIT sliced it to one, 63-62, on an offensive board and putback by Tereza Sedlakova, and then took the lead on the next possession on another basket by Sedlakova. But Palmer converted a three-point play on the next trip down the floor to put Barry ahead, 66-64. Sedlakova hit a basket with 30 seconds left to tie it at 70, but Granada hit a running layup with 1.5 seconds on the clock, and Richardson blocked a three-point shot at the other end at the buzzer as the Bucs held on. | Barry 72, Florida Tech 70
NOTEWORTHY:
- The Bucs shot 57 percent in the first half, going 16 of 28.
- Cousiño scored in double figures for the third straight game and 12th overall this season. She finished with 13 points and four assists.
- Palmer had 21 points and eight boards.
- Swindells hit a shot at the end of the period in the third game this season.
- Granada had 11 points, marking the third game she's scored in double figures this season. It was the second time in the last three games.
- Tanease Richardson had 20 points for the Panthers.
- Both teams scored 32 points in the paint.
