DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Barry University's volleyball team won its second match at Embry-Riddle's Bahama House Classic Friday, taking down Barton, 25-22. 11-25, 25-13, 25-23.
The Bucs hit .254, beating a team that made the NCAA Division II Tournament a year ago. Barton was held to a .061 attack percentage.
Barry will host a Red & White scrimmage at 5 p.m. Saturday in the Health & Sports Center.

SUMMARY:
- Barry hit over .250 for the second straight match,
- The Buccaneers outblocked the Bulldogs, 13-5.
- Tied at a set apiece, Barry went on a 7-0 run, which included a pair of kills by Brittany Reynolds to take a 14-5 lead. Barton pulled within 15-10 before the Bucs used a 4-0 spurt to take a 19-10 lead on back-to-back aces by Reynolds. Kristina Filimonova's ace extended the lead to 21-11, and the Bulldogs didn't recover.
- The Buccaneers hit .391 in the third set on 11 kills and two errors.
- Barry fell behind 16-11 in the final set, but used a kill by Genesis Castillo and three Barton attack errors to cut the gap to one. Following a pair of sideouts, the Bucs tied it at 17-17 on a kill by Filimonova. Both teams traded points over the next 12 serves before Castillo broke a 23-23 tie with back-to-back kills to put the match away.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Castillo had 13 kills, and hit .455.
- Filimonova had 12 kills, five blocks and hit .667.
- Jaeda Allen had nine kills and three blocks for the Bucs. Johanna Voss had five kills and six blocks.
- Juliana Tirabassi had 18 assists, two aces and nine digs. Nathaly Alvarez had 17 assists.
- Miranda Miller had 11 kills, and Angelica Acevedo 31 assists for the Bulldogs.
