MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Buccaneer baseball lost both games on Saturday to the Panthers of Florida Tech. The Bucs fell 9-4 in the first game, and couldn't hold on in the second game as they dropped a 5-3 loss as well.

SUMMARY:
Game 1
- B1: Julian Abreu homered early to right center to put the Bucs up 1-0.
- T2: The Panthers took the four run lead in the second. Reid Neal hit a grand slam to left center.
- B3: Abreu scored for the Bucs, after advancing home from third on a throwing error by the right fielder.
- T4: Trent Masih batted in Ryan Sinzenich to increase the FIT lead by four runs.
- T5: David Wilson homered to left field, good for two RBI, to make it 8-2 Panthers.
- B7: Alexis Monge-Rodriguez trimmed the Panther's lead in half with a single up the middle to score two RBI.
- T8: Grant McKown singled through the left side to score Vincenzo Catanza, making it 9-4 FIT.
Game 2
- T7: Wilson helped out big late in the game with a three-run shot for the Panthers to give them the 3-0 lead over the Bucs.
- B7: Barry fought back with three runs of their own in the bottom of the seventh. Claudio Rubiera started the charge with a solo home run to left field. Monge and Juan Sebastian Dayoub followed with RBI singles to tie the game at 3-3.
- T8: Daniel Szpik put away the game with a two-run homer in the eighth to make it 5-3 Panthers. This score ended up holding till the end of the game.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Grant Willcoxon (2-2) picked up the win game one for the Panthers, giving up five hits and two runs through five innings.
- Luis Deville (2-3) took the loss in game one for the Bucs, after giving up seven hits and eight runs.
- Luke Lorah (2-0) grabbed the win for FIT in the the second game, after only giving up one hit.
- Lance Elder (2-2) was dealt the loss in game two for the Bucs, after giving up two hits and two runs.
- Drew Beyer (5) picked up his fifth save of the season in game two. He gave up two hits and struck out three
- Barry's Nate Greve struck out seven batters during the second game.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs host the Saint Leo Lions this following week from Thursday April 13 to Friday April 14, in a three-game conference series.
