MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Barry's baseball team ended their losing streak Thursday night with a big 4-0 win over Saint Leo in the conference series opener.

SUMMARY:
- B1: Ryan Baldwin got the Bucs off to a 1-0 lead with an RBI single to left field, scoring Justin Lamazares.
- B3: The Bucs scored three runs in the third. Claudio Rubiera hit a sacrifice fly, which scored Alexis Monge-Rodriguez. There was a throwing error shortly after by the shortstop who was trying to get Lamazares out at second, which led to him scoring. Baldwin also advanced to third on the same throwing error, and then scored on a wild pitch when the next batter was up to the plate.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Jonathan Hernandez (2-6) pitched a strong seven innings, and only gave four hits and zero runs to grab the win for the Bucs.
- Tyler Bauman (4-1) picked up his first loss of the season for the Lions, giving up 11 hits and four runs in game one of the series.
ON THE HORIZON:
Barry continues their conference series with Saint Leo tomorrow with a doubleheader. Game one will start at 1 pm, with the second game to be played roughly 30 minutes after the end of the first.
