DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers shot down the Embry-Riddle Eagles 2-0 at ERAU Softball Stadium on Thursday night behind a home run by Cheyanne Head and a six-hit shutout from Christie Falcon.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
"I'm very proud of the players," head coach Danielle Penner said. "They just keep battling and finding ways to get better. I'm very encouraged with the way this team is approaching the tail end of this season."
SUMMARY:
- T-3rd - With two outs, Cheyanne Head launched a shot down the left field line for her first homer of the season.
- T-5th - Sam Busekrus led off with a single and scored on a dropped fly ball by shortstop Jayla Jackson with two outs.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Christie Falcon (7-12) made the runs stand up with her third shutout of the season. She scattered six hits and a walk and struck out four.
- Illona Andringa (13-11) took the loss for the Eagles. She worked a complete game, giving uo six hits and five walks and also struck out four.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs and Eagles square off in a doubleheader on Friday. The first pitch for game one has been pushed back to 2:00 pm to accommodate the Eagles academic schedule.
