LAKELAND, Fla. – Barry's No. 2 men's tennis team won by shutout for the fourth consecutive match, defeating No. 38 Florida Southern, 9-0, Saturday.
Barry's No. 25-ranked Carlos Gomez and Vivien Versier pulled out a 9-7 win over Fabian Lundberg and Jose de Sario at No. 2 doubles. That gave the Bucs a 3-0 lead heading into singles. It was the fifth straight match the Buccaneers have swept pairs play.
Gomez and Versier each won singles matches, winning a tiebreaker in their respective matches, and Pierre Montrieul fought back after dropping the first set to win the next two in his singles victory.

- No. 26 Montrieul responded after falling 6-3 to Mailloux in the first set to win the final two sets, 6-2, 6-3, at the No. 3 position.
- No. 46 Dreer posted a 7-5, 7-5 victory in his No. 4 singles match with Alvarez-Hevia.
- Versier beat Oscar Soderlund, 6-1, 7-6 (8-6), at No. 5 singles.
