ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Barry baseball loses their first game of the weekend series to Eckerd Friday night 6-2.

SUMMARY:
- T4: Khalil Denson homered to left field to put the Bucs on top in the fourth, 1-0 Barry.
- B5: The Tritons knocked in three runs in the fifth to take the 3-1 lead.
- T6: Denson scored the second run for the Bucs, after tagging up on a sacrifice fly by Justin Lamazares to cut Eckerd's lead to one run.
- B6: The Tritons added two more runs in the same inning, making it 5-3 Eckerd. Garrett Hiott scored from third on a pass ball, and Mitch Calandra singled to center field, scoring Nick Conti.
- B8: Calandra came back in the eighth to hit another RBI single, this time up the middle to make it 6-2 Tritons.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Dillon McCollough (2-2) took the win for the Tritons in game one. He gave up seven hits and two runs through six innings.
- Jonathan Hernandez (1-4) grabbed the loss for the Bucs, giving up seven hits and five runs. He also had nine strikeouts.
