GULF SHORES, Ala. -- The Barry Buccaneers spilt a pair of games at the Gulf Coast Invitational at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex on Saturday, beating host Spring Hill 9-8 but falling to Missouri-St. Louis 10-1 in five innings.

SUMMARY (Game one):
- B-3rd -- Maddy VonHagel put the Bucs up 3-0 with her first career homer.
- B-4th -- Lynsey Duncan drove in Sam Busekrus with a single and Alayna Gallagher scored on a ground out by Peyton Rawls.
- T-5th -- The Badgers scored four unearned runs on a pair of hits and two Buccaneer errors. Sarah Johnson had a two-run single.
- B-6th -- Barry poured on four more runs. Gallagher scored on a wild pitch. Cheyanne Head bunted for a hit to drive in Duncan. Pinch runner Elisabeth Brown scored on another wild pitch. Jasimine Harris knocked in pinch runner Krystal Grant.
- The Badgers scored four more runs in the seventh, but Christie Falcon got Aly Fowler to pop out to left to end the game.
SUMMARY (Game two):
- B-1st -- The Tritons scored five runs in the bottom of the first. Alex Stupek had a two-run single.
- T-2nd -- Harris drove in Head with a single for the Bucs' only run.
- B-3rd -- Jennah Perryman's three-run homer highlighted a four-run inning.
- B-4th -- Pinch runner Morgan Hill scored on an error for the final run.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Duncan (1-1), who earned the win in the first game with 4.2 innings, allowing no earned runs, was tagged for five runs (three earned) in one inning in the second game.
- Christie Falcon worked 2.1 innings in game one to earn her first save.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs close the tournament with games against Valdosta State and Miles on Sunday.
