Softball Opens Series with Win Over Sharks

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers used a big night from Jasmine Harris to knock off the Nova Southeastern Sharks in the opener of their three-game Sunshine State Conference set on Friday at Buccaneer Field.

  • Christie Falcon (1-3) went the distance to earn her first win as a Buccaneer. She allowed seven hit and a walk, leading to two runs (one earned) and struck out a season-high nine batters.
  • Lexy Storrer (3-4) took the loss for the Sharks. She allowed six runs (four earned) on six hits and a walk and struck out three.
  • Harris was 2-for-3 with a double, homer and four RBI.
  • Busekrus also had two hits for the Bucs.
