MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry's baseball team takes game one of the weekend series against Tuskegee University, winning 12-5 Friday night.

SUMMARY:
- B1: Ryan Baldwin led the Bucs to the one-run lead grounding out to second base, scoring Julian Abreu from third base. Richie Alfonso doubled down the left field line scoring three RBI, to make it 4-0 Bucs.
- T4: Errors in the infield resulted in Tuskegee grabbing two runs in the fourth. Jalen Luter and Ryan Green both scored on throwing errors.
- B4: The Bucs tallied another four runs in the fourth inning. Reuben Pino had a two-run homer to left field.
- T6: Lane Williams trimmed the Buc's lead to five runs after scoring from third on a wild pitch.
- T7: Doug Brown drove in Gemini Jackson to make the score 8-4 Bucs.
- B7: The Bucs added another three runs in the seventh inning. Alfonso doubled for the second time, scoring Khalil Denson. Alfonso scored shortly after, stealing third, but advanced to home after a wild throw by the catcher. To wrap up the inning, Pino knocked out his second homer of the night to make it 11-4.
- B8: Baldwin closed the door to any means of a comeback with a solo shot over the center field wall to increase the lead to eight runs.
- T9: The Golden Tigers did grab just one more run in the ninth inning when Jackson scored from third on a passed ball.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Alex Lavandero grabbed the win for the Bucs, as he threw 11 strikeouts, and gave up just three runs and one hit.
- Trey Nelson took the loss for the Golden Tigers, giving up six hits and eight runs on the night.
- Barry's Richie Alfonso went 3-5 on the night with two doubles, two runs, and four RBI.
- Justin Lamazares, Pino, and Abreu each had two hits on the night and combined for five runs for the Bucs.

The Barry baseball team continue the series against Tuskegee tomorrow in a double-header. First game is at 12 pm, and the second is set to play at 3 pm.
