MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- On a day when a family affair was the central theme, one constant remained the same: Barry University's No. 6-ranked women's tennis team was flawless again.
The Buccaneers breezed through its match with St. Thomas Thursday at Buccaneer Tennis Center, keeping its unbeaten match streak alive. Even if it came at family's expense.

SUMMARY:
- Isabel Rapisarda Calvo beat former Bucs women's tennis player Akemi Maehama's sister, Naomi Maehama, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 4 singles. Calvo also paired with Mara Cerrini for an 8-1 No. 3 doubles win over Cassandra Lemieux and Marine Uyttenhove. Akemi Maehama was in attendance, watching her sister's match, while Cerrini's parents were also at Buccaneer Tennis Center supporting their daughter. Both Maehama and Cerrini attended local high schools.
- The three doubles matches finished in succession from the top positions down. The top four singles positions also finished in order.
- Barry's ranked singles players, No. 18 Dasha Salnikova at the top position, and No. 22 Sonja Larsen at third spot, along with Zuza Maciejewska at No. 2 singles, combined to lose just two games in their straight sets victories. Cerrini and Judith Bohnenkamp dropped a combined eight games in winning both of their Nos. 6 and 5 singles matches, respectively.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Avi Kigel moved within four wins of 200 in his Barry career.
- Larsen moved into 22nd place on the school's career singles victories list with 38. Her .884 winning percentage ranks fifth all time. She is 5-0 in both singles and doubles this season.
- The Buccaneers are 32-0 in singles play this season and 18-0 in doubles matches.
- Dasha Salnikova is the only Buccaneer who has played doubles in every match this season. She is 6-0 in pairs play.
