Softball Drops Pair To #23 Chargers

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers dropped a homecoming doubleheader to 23rd-ranked Alabama-Huntsville, falling 4-1 in the first game and 4-2 in the nightcap on Saturday at Buccaneer Field.

Game 1

  • T1 - Reagan Malone tripled with one out and scored on a single by Kaitlyn Bannister. | UAH 1, Barry 0
  • T6 - Bannister singled and stole second. She scored on a single by Tyler Harrison. | UAH 2, Barry 0
  • T7 - The Chargers put runners on the corners and Bannister and Taylor Wascavage drove in the runs with singles. | UAH 4, Barry 0
  • B7 - Kristina Osorio homered down the left field line. | UAH 4, Barry 1

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Christie Falcon (0-1) took the loss for the Bucs in game one. She went the distance, allowing four runs on 10 hits and two walks and struck out three. She also pitched the final four innings of game two, allowing only one hit in four shutout frames. 
  • Harrison picked up the win in game one, while Emily Glover was the winner in game two.

ON THE HORIZON:

The Bucs get into Sunshine State Conference play next weekend as they travel to Lynn on Friday and Saturday.
