MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers knocked off the fifth-ranked Rollins Tars 78-60 in the Health & Sports Center on Saturday in Sunshine State Conference women's basketball action.
The Buccaneers have now beaten the last three undefeated teams they have played by an average of 12.3 points (Florida Memorial 64-52; Southwest Baptist 83-76; Rollins 78-60).

- 2Q - The Tars made a brief run to start the second period, pulling to within three points at 21-18 on a jumper by Vernisha Andrews. But the Bucs pushed the lead back to double figures on a layup by Harriet Swindells at 5:13 and the teams traded baskets the rest of the way. | Barry 35, Rollins 25
- 3Q - The Tars again started the third period hot and got as close as they would get the rest of the way when Carly McClendon hit a jumper to cut the lead to 38-37 at 7:24 of the period. But it was all Bucs the rest of the way. Barry pushed the lead back to double figures with an 11-2 run over the next 2:51. Kiara Palmer had seven points. - 4Q - The Bucs turned to defense in the fourth quarter to hold the Tars to just 22.2 percent shooting and 12 points. Barry was an outstanding 7-of-8 from the line in the quarter and 6-of-10 from the field. NOTEWORTHY:
- The Bucs have now won four straight, the last three by double figures.
- Cousiño led the Bucs with 21 points. She also added seven rebounds and five assists.
- Palmer had her third double-double of the season, with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
- Barry won the battle on the boards 41-29 and out-shot the fifth-ranked Tars 45.8 to 36.5 percent.
- McClendon had 12 points and Andrews added 11.

The Bucs are off for exam week, before returning to the court on Dec. 9 at Tampa.
